Hybrid inverters and battery banks

Different inverter manufacturers offer hybrid inverters with different power capabilities, to which battery banks can be added.

When choosing an inverter, it is important to consider what additional options are desired to be used immediately or later. For example, generator input, the use of optimizers (for shading and panels with different surface levels on the roof), backup power in case of grid loss (Backup-UPS), and monitoring stock prices.

There are various options for configuring the system, such as using energy from the batteries during non-productive times (e.g., at night), and the system can also be configured to buy electricity from the grid at a favorable time and sell it back at a higher price.

In addition, it is possible to install a Datahub on the hybrid inverter, which monitors the client’s consumption curve and makes adjustments to the battery’s use and charging cycles accordingly.
