Electric vehicle chargers
Drive on solar energy! A smart alternating current (AC) charger reduces electricity bills and CO2 emissions by charging electric vehicles with solar energy or from the grid during off-peak hours.
The advantage of an integrated inverter car charger is direct current (DC) charging, eliminating energy loss from AC/DC conversion.
Typical solar panels in Europe produce 400–650 W. The annual energy output per installed kilowatt-peak (kWp, maximum power under optimal conditions) ranges from 900–1600 kWh depending on location; the sunnier the country, the more energy is produced.
For this, let's take an example of a PV system with an area of 6–7 m2, which corresponds to approximately four individual solar panels. A PV system of this size can produce about 1000 kWh of solar energy per year. 1000 kWh can fully charge a VW e-Golf 28 times and cover about 8000 km, with an average consumption of 13.20 kWh per 100 km.

The GoodWe electric vehicle charger allows homeowners to charge their electric cars with excess solar energy, either directly from the user's solar power plant on the roof or via the battery storage system. The EV charger can be flexibly connected to GoodWe solar inverters or hybrid inverters and batteries to form a complete solar-to-car setup. The integrated system is managed through the GoodWe Smart Energy Management System (SEMS), which includes smart monitoring and charging functions.
